The club’s 36th league crown is the 3rd in charge for outgoing coach Ten Hag, who ends his five years at the helm of Ajax at the end of the Dutch season to start as boss of Manchester United for the 2022-2023 season.
Ajax have a four-point lead over second-placed PSV Eindhoven, who beat Nijmegen 3-2, with one match remaining.
