Rapper Lil Tjay shot in New Jersey, in critical condition – he New York rapper Lil Tjay was shot multiple times in a robbery attempt in Edgewater, New Jersey on Wednesday against him and two of his friends.
Prosecutors arrested Mohamed Konate, 27, of New York City on charges of attempted murder, armed robbery and weapons offenses, of firing at the rapper (real name Tione Merritt), as well as Jeffrey Valdez, 24, and Antoine Boyd, 22, both of the Bronx.
Lil Tjay was shot multiple times in the attack and is in critical condition, and Boyd was injured with a single gunshot wound, prosecutors said in a press release.
