Four long weekends next year, three fall on Friday and one on Monday, going by the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) gazetted public holidays for 2021. A great reference to check when to plan your long holidays with the least number of leaves you need to take. Mark your calendar!

The 11 gazetted public holidays are:

  1. New Year’s Day – Friday
  2. Chinese New Year – the first day – Friday
  3. Chinese New Year – second day – Saturday
  4. Good Friday – Friday Duh!
  5. Labour Day – Saturday
  6. Hari Raya Puasa – Thursday – Take leave on Friday!
  7. Vesak Day – Wednesday
  8. Hari Raya Haji – Tuesday – Take leave on Monday!
  9. National Day – Monday – Long weekend
  10. Deepavali – Thursday
  11. Christmas Day – Saturday

There will be four long weekends, with holidays either falling on a Friday or Monday in 2021.
