Travel to Thailand – Test & Go, SHA Extra+ : Amazing Thailand Safety & Health Administration(SHA) is a project by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to control the Thai tourism industry for safety measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Travelers are now required to book a Test & Go package or Sandbox stay with SHA Extra Plus hotel. These hotels are those that meet the Amazing Thailand SHA Plus standard also provide an accommodation service in partnership with certified hospitals for the RT-PCR test.
According to https://tp.consular.go.th/en/plan, travelers can enter Thailand under the following schemes via air travel:
- Exemption from Quarantine (Test and Go)
- Starting 1st February 2022, travelers are able to travel to Thailand via Test and Go program.
- For fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no less than 14 days before traveling and is from eligible countries/territories listed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, which includes Singapore.
- Need to book a hotel on approved SHA Extra+ or AQ hotel for 2 days, for Day 1 and Day 5.
- When you arrive in Thailand, you will need to take the RT-PCR test. Will be exempted from quarantine after tested negative, but must undergo second RT-PCR test on Day 5 at pre-booked SHA Extra+/AQ hotel.
- Sandbox Programmes
- For fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no less than 14 days before traveling. Travelers from any country/territory.
- Travelers are required to stay in the Sandbox area for 7 days before being able to travel in Thailand.
- Need to book a hotel on approved SHA Extra+ or AQ hotel for 7 days.
- Alternative Quarantine
- For unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated Travelers.
- Travelers from any country/territory. These travelers need to stay in quarantine for 7/10/14 days and will be able to travel to Thailand thereafter.
- Need to book a hotel on approved SHA Extra+ or AQ hotel for 7/10/14 days.
Under all these schemes, all travelers are required to:
- Obtain a negative COVID-19 test result (RT-PCR), issued within 72 hours before traveling.
- RT-PCR results must be negative or not detected. If RT-PCR result is positive or detected then medical certificate proof of covid recovery at least 14 days but less than 90 days from the onset or first date of detection is required.
