US Travellers – 3 dead in Oregon Safeway Deadly shooting – 20 year old gunman Ethan Blair Miller killed an elderly shopper at a Bend Safeway on Sunday evening and was shooting up the supermarket when 66 year old employee Donald Ray Surrett Jr. engaged him, potentially putting a stop to what might have been a far worse attack, police said Monday.
According to police spokeswoman by the same surname Sheila Miller, 2 people were killed – 84 year old Glenn Edward Bennett, a customer who was shot in front of the store, and the Safeway employee who fought the shooter in the produce section, she said.

In Detroit, authorities arrested a man believed to be responsible for the random shootings that began around 4:45 am which killed three people and injured a man in a shooting spree early Sunday.
In southwest Houston around 1am Sunday, a gunman who had been evicted from the apartment, set an apartment building ablaze and shot five fleeing tenants, killing three, before authorities fatally shot him. Police believe he set fire to the building to lure out tenants and shoot them using a shotgun to kill two people at the scene, and another died in the hospital.
