Another Earthquake in Mexico in a week, 2 dead after a 6.8 magnitude quake hit days after a 7.6 quake rocked the nation a few days earlier. Residents of Michoacan, Mexico were jolted out of bed, and gathered in streets. Previous earthquake hit on anniversary of 1985, 2017 temblors.

Many residents ran away when they heard the earthquake alert, wearing their pajamas and some carrying babies, their barking dogs. The epicenter was located 84 km from Coalcomán, in the state of Michoacán (west), where the main event originated.
Monday’s quake was the 3rdmajor earthquake to strike on 19th September – in 1985, 2017 and now 2022. The 2017 and 19th September 2022 quakes came very shortly after the annual earthquake drill conducted every 19th September to commemorate the devastating 1985 temblor that killed 9,500.
