Penny Stock $8bn Crash – John Soh, Quah Su-Ling Guilty of 349 counts – Malaysian businessman and Mastermind Joh Soh Chee Wen and conspirator Quah Su-Ling were found guilty of the 2013 penny stock crash, have been found guilty of criminal conspiracy including for forced trading, price manipulation and deception.
Singapore High Court judge Hoo Sheau Peng, yesterday convicted Soh on 180 charges of market manipulation, cheating and witness tampering charges and a majority of deception charges. John Soh looked visibly thinner aged 62, has been in remand since November 2016 and faced 188 charges.
His partner in crime Quah Su-Lin aged 57, was convicted of 169 market manipulation and cheating charges, and a majority of deception charges. She was former chief executive of Ipco Limited (now renamed Renaissance United), and is out on bail of $4 million, faced a total of 177 charges.
