Weekend getaway in Pekan Nanas or Pineapple town – is located in Pontian District, Johor, Malaysia.
You may get there by the Skudai–Pontian Highway which passes through the town or take a bus from Larkin Sentral (Bus 3, 96).
There are many different things you can do in pekan nanas and there are many different types of food and places you can visit and dine in!
1) Dong Xing Bak Kut Teh (东兴肉骨茶)
There are quite a few Bak Kut Teh stall in pekan nanas but this is the best among all of them. As they serve the dish in a clay pot with a variety of ingredients in the soup such as pork balls, tofu skin, lean meat, fat meat, mushroom, and lettuce. The soup is not too thick and not too watery, as for the lean meat, it is very chewy and soft compare to other types of lean meat.

2）Lee Koh Kee Laksa (李国旗叻沙)
Lee Koh Kee Laksa is a very famous Laska shop in Pekan Nanas, which is operated by an old aunty. which has been in business for more than 50 years!
The laksa has lots of ingredients such as tofu, tofu skin, fish cakes, meatballs and plus the owner’s special homemade sambal sauce! which is one of my favorite sauce!
The taste of the soup is quite thick and not greasy. The coconut milk is fresh and planed, and the spiciness is moderate which tastes like the one that I had in my primary school canteen!

3) Summer Snow Cafe （夏日雪饮水之家）
